The Mega group turns 20, and moves into new facility.
The Mega Group, founded in 1987 by Mark Iorio, celebrates a milestone this year. Originally named M&E Graphics Associates, The Mega Group has successfully navigated and pioneered new technologies, strategies, and tactics to create opportunities for clients.
With the growth of online stores, The Mega Group has moved into new offices with an adjoining 25,000 square foot warehouse. MegaStore clients include Verizon, Terumo Medical, and Neighborworks America.
In addition to warehousing and fulfillment operations, Mega Group Communications has more elbow room for creative services and project management.
Noting the obvious upside to the new space, when Iorio was asked about any downside to the move, he stated, "The landscaping is going to be a real bear. We have seven acres!" Iorio was last seen in a plaid insulated field coat brandishing a chain saw to tame the wild surroundings. Most of the Mega Group staff members are happy to see their boss out in the woods rather than in the office. However, one unidentified account executive remarked, "It's great, except he shows up for meetings with thorns sticking out of his sleeves and poison sumac all over his neck. Real pretty."
Happy Birthday to the Mega Group.

Not-so-good fortune for local Chinese restaurant delivery person.
After delivering an order of Szechuan specialties, a delivery person attempted to leave The Mega Group building through a plate glass window instead of trying the door several feet to the right. When asked why she didn't just use the door, the caterer simply shook her head and denied causing the loud crashing sound despite the bump forming on her forehead and the bruised right knee.
The warehouse crew that ordered the Chinese lunch stated that although the building took a hit, the General Tso's Chicken had a nice kick to it and the Hot and Sour Soup had an usual complexity, but was very pleasing.
The restaurant made good on the damage and the glass was replaced in 15-20 minutes.

Jill Cameron takes on the Lion's share of Account Coordination.
Valerie Hartzell, Director of Client Services recently announced the addition of a Nittany Lion to The Mega Group Team. Penn State graduate Jill Cameron was drafted to help move the ball for clients including Verizon, Terumo Medical Products, Foamex lnternational, The Mercadien Group, and First Choice Bank.
Previous to joining The Mega Group, Jill was with a competitor (we're not using our website to advertise who they are) working in the Healthcare, Financial Services, and Retail categories. Over the years Jill has shared her time and talents doing community service with American Red Cross, and ensuring ice cream was distributed throughout the region at Jann's Sweet Shoppe. Although it hasn't happened yet, The Mega Group is looking forward to a tradition of Ice Cream Fridays under Jill's supervision. Stay tuned for ice cream updates, clients may be included.
